Oracle 11g R2: RAC including ASM - New Horizons Harrisburg
With every release of Oracle, the architecture behind RAC implementation has been changing significantly to provide a more robust and intelligent solution towards Oracle grid strategy.
This course discusses Oracle 11g Release 2 features in a RAC implementation. The course covers architecture, design, implementation and administration features specifically to a RAC environment.
Topics covered include clusterware, ASM, partitioning, indexes, tablespace management, and transaction management. Performance optimization with examples, troubleshooting and problem solving scenarios are covered, as well as discussions on the migration process from a single instance database to RAC or upgrade process from Oracle 10g Release 2 RAC environment to an Oracle 11g Release 2 environment.
This course on RAC will enlighten and educate students on the internals of RAC operations, cache fusion and the fast reconfiguration of RAC. Topics such as Admin managed vs Policy Managed databases and failover scenarios will educate the attendees with some of the new cool features in 11gR2.
In this hands-on course the students will learn to configure and manage a RAC database environment. The course also includes detailed discussions on, Automatic Storage Management (ASM), ASM Clustered File System (ACFS) and Oracle Clusterware.
